🚨 HOSPITALITY THREAD 🚨

Right - bars, pubs, and restaurants. It's time to up your contact tracing game.

Here's how to set up an online system which is robust, easy to use, and BEST OF ALL, FREE.
1. Firstly, set up a dedicated Gmail account. This will be used only for track and trace (gotta keep the data safe, so you need to control who has access). This is free.

Once you've set it up, log in and go to Google Forms. This is also free.
2. Log in to Google Forms, and create a new form (use the blank template). Create questions for Full Name, Email, Mobile Number, and (optional) Date Of Visit.

Make them all "required" questions. Add your usual disclaimer text to the form ("data deleted after 21 days", etc.)
3. Publish the form, and get the sharing link. You don't need the short URL, the long one is fine.
6. If you're feeling extra fancy, then create a 301 redirect on your website to point a custom URL to the bitly link too - for example, point traffic going to (yoursite).co.uk/trace to the custom bitly link. You don't have to do this, it just looks professional.
7. Now, create a poster (again in @canva) with the QR Code, the bitly link, and the 301 redirect link (optional).

Print out small versions of the QR code to go on table talkers, menus, other POS, etc.
8. Google will automatically collect and store all the user-supplied data on your behalf. No more scrappy bits of paper, or having to try and figure out someone's email address while they're talking through a mask.
9. The only thing it won't do is delete data after 21 days - you need to do this manually. After three weeks, just log in every day and view the responses - delete the ones older than 21 days.1
10. ENJOY YOUR FREE ONLINE TRACK AND TRACE SYSTEM.
