The American media was so manipulative with the information that *Chinese propaganda* picked up US reporting and recycled it.

And even after the worst of the crisis in China had abated, the American media pushed falsified information to paint a rosier picture for how China dealt with the virus.

So, yeah. Does it matter that Trump and the US government got it wrong? Sure. We need an accounting on all of this.
But I’m not going to clutch my pearls about the book, nor am I going to listen to these same outlets and individuals telling me I should be outraged.
