I've got some thoughts on the upcoming presidential debate. Feel free to skip if you've got some drying paint to watch:

1) Biden has been in politics for 47 years. He's got his talking points down. See also acceptance speech which just repeated his speech for the last 30 years.
2) Based on that fact alone, it's quite possible he won't fail at the 1st debate, or at least will do well enough at repeating his recycled comments to be declared the winner by the media.
Moderator, translated: Mr VP, here is a softball question we gave to you pre-debate, please give us your canned and practiced answer.

Biden: [repeated practiced answer]

Media: fapfapfapfapWINNER!!! No need for more debates.
3) But let's say his devolution has progressed to the point where his campaign advisors are no longer confident in his ability to respond using answers to questions he already knows.

Yes, I'm assuming he gets the questions in advance. Duh.
Then here's what might happen. A few days before the first debate, Biden will be reported as having a slight cough and then will be reported as Covid positive, which will quarantine him for a couple of weeks, at which point we'll be past the debates.
"Oh, look how brave and strong our future president is. Having survived Covid, he'll know how to lead the country through this pandemic."
Some of you right now: Man, you're into tinfoil hat conspiracy land. This presupposes that entire media complex is all in on Biden's election and would completely cover this lie to make it happen.

Me: ...not really sure what your question is.
