Are they looking for a transfer fee too? I had done a thread a few days ago on how it is possible to get a deal that suits all parties.

To summarize my earlier thread: Bale's on 600k p.w =60m liability over 2 years for RM. As an asset he's probably worth 10-20m to them. So net, he costs them 40-50m

The following structure works:
RM pay half his wages, we pay RM a small upfront fee <10m to take him
We hope Bale's desire to play ahead of the European Championships & wanting to get out of RM means he takes a pay cut so we only have to pay him about 100-150k base + aggressive performance bonuses

Effectively cost is same as a King/Wilson for us. He's HG & a commercial gold
mine. Significant upside if he can rediscover his best form.
