Thread: The President of the United States knew the Coronavirus was dangerous.

He hid that from the American people because he thought it would damage his own reputation and re-election possibilities.

Let me tell you what it truly did.
The President's personal interests cost 188,000 American lives.

The President's personal interests cost me the last three months that my family and I could spend with my grandma who had terminal lung cancer. I know my story isn't mine alone.
The President's personal interests cost him the economy.

The President's personal interests cost many the opportunity to enter a thriving job market.

The President's personal interests cost hundreds of thousands of jobs for people who need income for themselves and their family
The President's personal interests cost members of marginalized communities at an increasingly disproportionate rate.

The President's personal interests have incited a culture war that pitted decency and character against indecency and hatred.

The President's personal interests
have cost us the America I grew up knowing. It cost me and many others in my generation a sense of innocence.

I thank the President for that. I now know what I must do. I must work to be part of the solution. I will work to get out every vote, I will work to solve the issues
our nation faces. I will work to ensure that the generations to come never face the discrimination and injustice we are all witnessing today. I will end with the following quote from Rabbi Tarfon in Pirkei Avot,
"It is not your responsibility to finish the work of perfecting the world, but you are not free to desist from it either".
