And I've just re-read @warsan_shire 'Backwards', which is such an extraordinary example too - the way it works with the form through the subject, deconstructs itself as it goes. I just can't - https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/90734/backwards
Wondering if there's something that works best in this form, in themes of doing and undoing, seeing and unseeing, a rumination? That it works to have an element of an inevitable happening, that undoes itself in the reflected version. It's such a fascinating form.
I completely own my poetry dweebery, by the way :-D
And do find that having a felt sense of which ideas/feelings/moments fit with which forms - that starts to become intuitive - really helps my writing practice.
