THREAD

With Trump admitting on tapes on February 7 that he knew how deadly Coronavirus was, I want to record the comments he made before and after that private acknowledgement of how bad it is.

[1]
Jan 22: "We have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It’s going to be just fine."

[2]
Jan 24: "China has been working very hard to contain the Coronavirus. The United States greatly appreciates their efforts and transparency."

Feb 2: "We pretty much shut it down coming in from China."

[3]
Feb 10: "Looks like by April, you know, in theory, when it gets a little warmer, it miraculously goes away. … And I think it’s going to all work out fine.”

[4]
Feb 11: " We only have, basically, 12 cases and most of those people are recovering and some cases fully recovered. So it’s actually less."

[5]
Feb 24: "“The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA. We are in contact with everyone and all relevant countries. CDC & World Health have been working hard and very smart. Stock Market starting to look very good to me!"

[6]
Feb 26: "When you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero, that’s a pretty good job we’ve done."

Feb 28: "They tried anything, they tried it over and over. … And this is their new hoax."

[7]
Mar 5: "Gallup just gave us the highest rating ever for the way we are handling the CoronaVirus situation. The April 2009-10 Swine Flu, where nearly 13,000 people died in the U.S., was poorly handled."

[8]
Mar 6: "Anybody that wants a test can get a test."

Mar 10: "And we’re prepared, and we’re doing a great job with it. And it will go away. Just stay calm. It will go away."

[9]
All that bad information, the incorrect measures, and the lack of action led to all the deaths.

Officially 194,463 deaths and counting.

It did not have to happen.

It was murder.
