League Two gets underway this weekend!

It’s a division that deserves more recognition, mainly because some of English football’s biggest future stars begin their careers here!

I’ve picked out a young player from each L2 side that you should keep an eye on.

@d3d4football
Callum Gribbin: @BarrowAFC
It’s the 21-year-old’s first taste of senior football, joining #BarrowAFC after previously being at Manchester United and Sheffield United.

Capable of playing on either flank or in attacking midfield, he has a future beyond League Two level.
#EFL
Liam Gordon: @OfficialBWFC
#BWFC have brought in a lot of new faces this summer, and this one deserves attention.

Gordon is a 21-year-old left-back signed from Dagenham and Redbridge having originally come through Non-League.

Could be in for a strong debut #EFL season.
Elliot Watt: @officialcufc
20-year-old Watt had an impressive loan spell at Carlisle United last season, and has now joined #BCAFC permanently from Wolves.

The central midfielder could be a very noteworthy arrival at Valley Parade this season.
#EFL
Tom Knowles: @CambridgeUtdFC
Yesterday’s convinced me with this one.

The 21-year-old winger is a product of the #CamUTD academy, spent last year on loan at Chelmsford City, and could be set for a breakout season in 2020-21.
#EFL
Aaron Hayden: @officialcufc
Formerly of Wolves, the 23-year-old centre-back has become the new #cufc vice-captain, and deservedly so.

His team looks very different to the one that played last season, and the hope will be that the new faces carry the same ambition he does.
#EFL
Joshua Griffiths: @CTFCofficial
Coming in to #ctfc on loan from #WBA, the 19-year-old goalkeeper is very highly rated, and has already started to show why.

Cheltenham were built around a rock solid defence last season, and Griffiths could be part of another one this year.
#EFL
Kwame Poku: @ColU_Official
You might be familiar with this name already. If you’re not yet, you will be soon.

After a breakout campaign for #ColU last season, the 19-year-old winger and attacking midfielder could be a potential League Two star this season.
#EFL
David Sesay: @crawleytown
Released from Watford as a youngster, Sesay has been at #TownTeamTogether since September 2018.

The 21-year-old is a quality full-back on either side, and was rumoured to have Championship interest last season.

Keep an eye on him.
#EFL
Archie Collins: @OfficialECFC
On the day that Ollie Watkins completes his journey from #ECFC to the Premier League, here’s the latest Exeter City product you should know about.

Collins is an already superb midfielder at just 21-years-old.
Bright future ahead.
#EFL
Kane Wilson: @FGRFC_Official
I’ve been a fan of the 20-year-old right-back for a long time.

His move to #WeAreFGR is his first permanent one away from boyhood club #WBA, and it could prove a great choice for his career.
#EFL
Mattie Pollock: @officialgtfc
I’m very excited about the 18-year-old centre-back, who has been at #GTFC since signing as a scholar in 2018.

Under Ian Holloway’s guidance, the defender could really develop into something special.
#EFL
Connor Kirby: @HarrogateTown
The central midfielder, who turns 22 tomorrow, spent last season on loan at Macclesfield Town from Sheffield Wednesday.

He has now left #swfc, moved permanetly to #ProudToBeTown, and could prove a quality signing for the #EFL newcomers.
Ruel Sotiriou: @leytonorientfc
There hasn’t been too much in terms of new faces in at #LOFC, and that could really benefit Sotiriou.

The 20-year-old forward is a Cypriot Youth International who really caught the eye in limited minutes last season.
#EFL
Corey O’Keeffe: @mansfieldtownfc
You don’t find many players this young with this much versatility.

Joining #Stags permanently from #BCFC, the 22-year-old can play any of the defensive positions in the first and middle third, and perform to a high standard in all of them.
#EFL
Adam Phillips: @ShrimpsOfficial
I will not stop waxing lyrical about this guy.

Back at #Shrimps on loan from #twitterclarets again. The 22-year-old midfielder had an explosive impact last season, and is already off the mark in 2020-21.

Could be set for a great season.
#EFL
Tristan Abrahams: @NewportCounty
#NCAFC did not score a lot of goals last season, and Michael Flynn will want to address that.

Pádraig Amond is reliable, Ryan Taylor’s a good signing, and 21-year-old Abrahams is a player I like a lot.

Could kick on well fron last year.
#EFL
Tom Hamer: @OfficialOAFC
Hamer is only 20-years-old, but his #oafc debut came in early 2018.

He’ll likely be a right-back this season, though he is a very accomplished centre-back.

Bright future ahead for a player who’s been around for what feels like forever.
#EFL
James Gibbons: @OfficialPVFC
The local boy had a great 2019-20 campaign.
At just 22, the right-back could be even better for #PVFC this season.

One of those who signed a new deal in the summer, Gibbons hasn’t got any intention of leaving his boyhood club anytime soon.
#EFL
Brandon Thomas-Asante: @SalfordCityFC
The #WeAreSalford squad is full of very experienced and established names.
There are youngsters worth talking about though.

21-year-old forward Thomas-Asante had a very good 2019-20, and could have an even better one this year.
#EFL
Jacob Bedeau: @SUFCOfficial
The #UTI squad at Neil Cox’s disposal contains a lot of young players. Picking just one isn’t easy.

I personally like 20-year-old defender Jacob Bedeau, formerly of Bury and Aston Villa.
The #IRON ‘number 4’ could play a big part in this season.
#EFL
Elvis Bwomono: @SUFCRootsHall
#Blues are loaded with young players. My personal favourite without doubt is Elvis Bwomono.

The 21-year-old Ugandan right-back should be playing above League Two level. He’s such a good talent.

Southend will be desperate to keep hold of him.
#EFL
Jamie Cumming: @StevenageFC
#StevenageFC’s new ‘number 1’ is 21-year-old Jamie Cumming, who has arrived on loan from Chelsea.

He is very highly-rated by those at #CFC, and it shouldn’t be too long into the season until we understand why.
#EFL
Lee O’Connor: @TranmereRovers
Originally from Waterford in the Republic of Ireland, the 20-year-old is spending the season on loan at #TRFC from Celtic.

He can play anywhere along the backline, and should be a welcome addition to the #SWA’s defensive unit.
#EFL
Alfie Bates: @WFCOfficial
Last, but certainly not least, an exciting #Saddlers product.

19-year-old central midfielder Bates came into first team contention last season, and could play an even bigger role in Darrell Clarke’s side in 2020-21.

Very promising player.
