this is not to hate on the members im purely just bringing attention to this as many army choose to ignore this still and claim we got an apology, we never have. nothing is ever addressed and we always email bh yet nothing is done and no one is educated.
recently, in the soop there is a dreamcatcher. they are sacred to native culture and from the Ojibwe tribe. they are not to be used for aesthetic reasons and if they are not bought from a native they are not to be used. our culture was stolen and mass produced.

I love the members which is why I want all of this brought to their attention so they can be educated. if I didn't love them so much I would have just dropped them bc of all the ca. I believe that if they knew they would stop they just are not educated on native ca.
keep in mind hippie and boho style and aesthetic is a lot of stolen culture not just native culture either. so if anyone ever does those styles it is a high chance you have done some type of ca.
not ca but these were inside the tipi. now the headbands eh it is ok but as soon as feathers are added it is technically native ca. in media you see feather headbands and think natives, feathers are earned and must be taken care of. you can only wear them at certain times.

it is fine to use a dreamcatcher if you know the history and stories of them and educate yourself. you must use them properly and you must buy it from a native. plus fake ones don't even work, there is a lot that goes into making a real dreamcatcher.

I was informed that they dont have a term for Native Americans but still saying Indian to refer to us is offensive, we are not from India and native culture is different from the cultures in India.

I'm sure there is probably if I looked. we are working on more templates just to address everything in general and also one for weverse, we got a response back with the txt photobook and they said they would let bh know but bh still hasn't said anything so idk.
also its important that they are educated because we know a few members have tattoos and they seem to like dreamcatchers. my biggest fear is they will get a dreamcatcher tattoo and have no knowledge the harm it will bring.
also I'd like to add...wearing a dreamcatcher necklaces will not stop you having bad dreams actually it will bring you more bad luck as it will attract the bad spirits and thoughts, there is no way they can leave you if its on you.

nothing is wrong with liking and appreciating native culture but some things are not be used and some things are only to be used a certain way. you should always buy native items from a native.
