Happy Back To School to all the university undergrads!! To help you guys out in this school year, here’s a thread of things I wish I knew as a science undergrad
- Make friends with people in your program and form a study group
- Choose electives that are completely out of your field of study (Being well-rounded is powerful)
- Don’t stress. A couple bad grades doesn’t mean you won’t make it in life.
- Try to get research experience if possible. (Hands on experience teaches you more than in class)
- Make friends with your profs, build good relationships, and seek mentorship early (This will help you to make less mistakes in your career/education)
- Don’t make your time in university all about getting good grades... get involved in clubs, enjoy the university life
- If you start a program and you really feel like it’s not for you, switch IMMEDIATELY. Don’t waste time in a program that you don’t like.
- Bring your own lunch to school and SAVE YOUR MONEY😬
