The disastrous “war on terror,” and the doubling down on elements of racism, white-supremacy, and transactional Christianity already present in our social fabric. It absolutely gave us the Tea Party and Trump. Bin Laden couldn’t have asked for better. 2/3

We need to think about how we memorialize 9/11 differently. #NeverForget the losses and the pain, but also #NeverForget that our reaction has made us weaker and more hated and more awful than we could ever have imagined. #NeverForget how much we need to change. 3/3
