Speaking out about crimes against humanity is not restricted to victims. Nor can anybody claim to be Sole Spokesman for those who suffered a crime. You can't expect the world to stand with you and yet not draw its own reference points from the horrors committed against you. 1/n

Each crime against humanity is unique in its depiction of horror and display of cruelty. But condemnation is universal. As a legatee victim, I do expect others to empathise with my grief, share my sorrow. That is how you build up global resistance. Not alone, but together. 2/n

I'd never claim to be the thekedar of dispossesed, disowned and disinherited refugees. No reason why others should pose as thekedars of victims of another crime. But then, nor would I ever blame sorrow on 'a fight between brothers' -- because Perp and Victim are not siblings. 3/n
