I've been reflecting on the exhaustion many are feeling right now.
I believe some of it is because yes, much is under attack in new ways.
Some have just had the veneer stripped away.
Some didn't know how deep the rot went.
Others didn't know they'd be in jeopardy, too.

My therapist called it "psychic exhaustion," because even "at rest," our anxieties and fears about this moment are not.
Take care of yourselves. Burnout can masquerade as everything from self-doubt to lethargy and lots in between.
