"Progress is evident and needs to continue and ensure no reversal of hard-fought gains." the report reads.

Checking the grid, we can see how cases are down about 10% from the last week (and down a bit in skilled nursing facilities).

Also down for a third week in a row ... testing! This time, 20% (!).

Roll that into the drops in the last two weeks and it's down a whopping 46%.

TLDR: there are a lot fewer people getting tested than there were a month ago, says the WH.

A special focus this week on colleges, WH says some states have seen gains reversed because of spread in those settings.

Recommends Georgia schools increase testing to keep from spreading the coronavirus from campuses to local communities.

Also, that infected people living on campus should not be sent home to isolate or quarantine.

Seems to be a real acknowledgement of how colleges/universities could spark chains of transmission wherever their students call home.

On that note, special attention called to cases rising in Clarke county (UGA?).

Also in Hall or Cherokee, both of which had to close school campuses last month because of COVID-19 outbreaks after returning for in-person learning.

6/n
Back at the state level, 75% percent of all counties have moderate or high levels of transmission. Statewide, 132 cases per 100k people compared to national average of 88 per 100k.
