3/ I see work colleagues, personalities and institutions connected with the profession bending over backwards trying to square the circle in order to solve the conundrum "How can we keep what we have and shut these conscience pricking voices up"?

4/ It's obviously the wrong place to start. As an architect experiencing racial injustice means being starved of oxygen and being killed (because in some languages the term for being ignored/ostracised and that for being killed is the same)...

6/ Furthermore, I don't think place rendered as space, objectified via visual culture is something useful for an architect to learn (unless they're designing an art gallery). You don't believe me?

7/ Look at how crap the built environment is. Most of what is good about it (the vast majority of what is good about it) was not made by people who eat cheese washed down with wine.
