2020 and it's really absurd that there are so many women that are still obsessed with a man "chasing" them. You are not a wild animal. You are not a beast. But you want to be chased by someone who shows interest in you, you are not ready.

So, many men are cool with actually having to fight for the woman they love. And so, as a woman, sometimes, you should put up a strong front. You should make them fight a little. It is needed.
Where is the problem is, is when you now refuse to yield, even when you like him.

At that point, you are making yourself look like a hurdle, and that is what he will see you as. Ask yourself, if you keep applying for something and after many trials, it still does not click, would you not get tired? Everyone would.
Now, here's what happens to the man: he gets tired. But he would not show it, because the woman he "loves" does not want to see him tired, and would cancel him, if he ever does.
After weeks, and months of chasing, he gets mentally drained. He is exhausted. Tired, and worn out.

But he will not quit. He is a man, and men are egotistic by nature. Now, you are not more his love, you are now a trophy that should be won. He'd spend nights thinking about how to get your attention. He would talk to his friends and strategize on ways to win you over.
And when he finally does, you, the woman, would not be agreeing to date the man who loved you initially, rather, you would be agreeing to a man who has won a trophy. And you know what happens after winning a trophy? You are relaxed. There's no more work to do.
The incentive for all your stress was the trophy and now that you have won it, there is nothing else to fight for.
