Just remember, when ‘big brands slam Dan’ (an actual headline this evening @DanielAndrewsMP) they’re not doing it so make our lives easier. They’re doing it to get you back into their stores and spending your money. They dont care about your health - they just want your money.
And thats the case with Westacott, Carnell and IPA. They dont care if you live, die or become disabled by covid. They want you to spend so the companies who pay them make a profit. Doctors and scientists arent paid for our opinion. We actually care about everyones health.
I’m not trying to be anti business or capitalism. What I’m trying to highlight is that the people clamoring for @DanielAndrewsMP to change his plan arent doing it because of the public’s best interests. Theyre doing it for their own wallet - and if you get sick, they dont care.
Lockdown sucks. I get it. But lets not have it highjacked by special interest groups whose priority is only profit. What these people should be doing IMHO is planning for how to reopen the economy when it is safe for everyone. Not trying to highjack the public health crisis.
I’ve worked with these people over the years. And I can tell you now, the health and wellbeing of people doesn’t even hit the list of priorities when they put together lobby points. You, the general public, are a nuisance at best and expendable at worst. Provided they get your
