Recently on Ease of Doing business ranking Odisha Slipped 29 positions & it caused a dent on the efforts Govt of Odisha is doing to attract investments to the state, But perhaps the Govt is it self unaware of the anti business policies it currently has one of such issue is 1/N

Power, for any MSME the basic thing that is required first is Power. Now imagine this, If you want to set up an MSME you may have to sail out more for a power connection than to the Machines & Equipments it self if you want to set up it in an area under @nesco_balasore jrdcn

The state of Odisha does not even has a Pan Odisha guidelines for to take a commercial power connection. I just got baffled to know the charges that one has to deposite first to get a power connection under @nesco_balasore

1. 26500 per Kilo watt as installation charges >>

So if you wish to take a 50 Kilowatt (for homes we take 2-4 kw connections) so 50kw is nothing considering industry standard) you have to sail out 13.25 lacs as installation Charges through Goswift online portal plus other charges of approximately gonna cost 4 lacs >>>

5/N So the total cost to get a 50kw connection is now stands at approximately 17-18lacs. Now the same cost through offline process used to cost approximately 7-8 lacs with all equipments & installations.The said offline application has now been discontinued at @nesco_balasore >>

One has to go through the online portal for a connection & with 18lacs just for the power connection how come it will encourage an entrepreneur to invest in Odisha & how come it will help Odisha improve its Ease of Doing business >>>>

& if setting up an MSME be this costly how we can achieve #AtmaNirbharBharat as envisaged by Honorable PM
