If my attraction could have been shaped by ANYTHING I had control over, I would have flipped that switch in an instant. I wouldn't have tried to off myself in 1999 at age 14, convinced that I couldn't deal with being different & wanting so desperately to be normal.
I wouldn't have come out to my religious family and been told by my father that I was disgusting & wrong. You see how insulting it is to even insinuate that homosexuals just haven't reflected on this enough, or worse still that we're doing this on purpose out of bigotry?
It's funny how we have to "respect everyone's identity" these days, yet orientation isn't at all respected. Well guess what, I don't have to respect jack shit. Respect is earned, not demanded, so kindly shove your pseudo-intellectual systems of power up your ass.
