A brief thread on Healthcare as a sector:

Certain sectors tend become dominant investment themes each decade. The past decade has seen tech rule the roost - could healthcare be the next key theme?
The 20s have started with a global Pandemic and it was quickly revealed how unprepared for it the world was. Even when COVID-19 is a distant memory, it will be expected that healthcare institutions spend in order to make provisions for future events.
A consequence of this is that underfunded healthcare institutions may become rarer, both in the public and private sectors: healthcare is now in the mind of the social conscience.
At the same time, the rate of change in medical breakthroughs is quicker than ever and seeming to pick up pace in line with tech breakthroughs. In some areas this is simple breakthroughs like video consultations (increasing productivity).
In other areas there are more complex breakthroughs in 3D printing and AI which look promising. Ultimately the quality in healthcare is getting better and better.
Innovation drives success in today's world and healthcare looks to benefit from some of the most innovative Industries.
As this quality coincides with the rise of the middle class, ageing populations and greater access to healthcare worldwide, it looks promising.
