A Christian will pick out a chapter in the old testament to promote or defend.a particular practise today.

And then you ask them why they aren't practising what the next chapter in the same old testament said, they will tell you how Christ ushered in a "new covenant."
Pastor Odumeje will quote passages of the Bible for you that supports his flamboyant, vibrant version of Christianity.

Opponents of Pastor Odumeje will quote passages of the same Bible that discredits him as a true man of God.

And each camp will have hundreds of FOLLOWERS.
Same with this whole controversy with Doctor Freeze. He quotes passages from the Bible to discredit certain practises of men of God. Legit arguments

And Christians who hate Doctor Freeze also quotes passages of the Bible that discredits Doctor Freeze as "not a true CHRISTIAN" 🤣
Same thing happens with Islam. Jihadists will quote passages from the Quran that supports Jihad.

And opponents of Jihad will quote passages from the Quran that doesn't advocate for Jihad.

And the two camps (Jihadists and non Jihadists) label each other "fake Muslim")
At the end of the day, everyone believes whatever they CHOOSE to believe in and convince themselves that what they CHOSE to believe in is the ULTIMATE truth.

But there isn't any ultimate truth out there. People just accept versions of the truth that makes sense to them.
Anyway, everyone is free to believe in their own delusions. I think delusions spice up a rather boring life. It gives us a semblance of meaning.

But don't get carried away by your own delusion. Let's all enjoy it and tolerate the delusions of others.

But don't get carried away
