hello a giant cross sector festival is being announced today > https://www.festival2022.uk < that's going to fund 30 creative teams with up to 100K each before 10 of them go onto bigger budgets & will take place in 2020. we are advisors helping decide who those 30 are so pls apply

the money was originally ring-fenced by Theresa may for some horrible Brexit festival but it has since been re-allocated and there are new people on the project so it will be something else instead now. STEAM sector collaborations. I think it should just fund video games though
this is probably gonna get rightly criticised for coming from cursed tory money and also the fact it's creative, big budget, happening in 2 years, all these different things - but we've got 12 days work at the very beginning of it to air our criticisms and advise on what goes on
I say that because if you've got problems hopefully we can be a channel for them, make sure they are heard. but otherwise I just really wanna rally to make sure this money goes to the right stuff. because there is so much money. it's not art budgets, it's whole sector budgets
for ex. and I hope you will be proud of us (feel like we have scammed someone) we are being paid 12 days work @ 500/day. that is my rent for the year. and it's because of the nature of who is involved in this - that rate not even being that much for others. I shit the bed tho :)
so have a read on the website anyway but that's the level - anyone can pitch their ideas and the people they would work with and 30 teams will get up to 100K to develop the idea - even if it doesn't end up happening. that's wild to me. please apply so we can be your cheerleaders
(Isnât it exciting that some of you have followed from the 2015 beginning and seen us depressed in childhood bedrooms all the way to here - advising on big festivals, stable patreon to cover our writing; freelancing gobshites. Very good arc)
