Lots of news about the AZ vaccine trial being paused.

*THIS IS TOTALLY NORMAL* and why we do trials.

(1) it's not the trial, it's recruitment into the trial. The trial is very much ongoing in thousands of people right now. https://twitter.com/Reuters/status/1303560101119307778
(2) this already happened once in July - it turned out to be an unrelated, pre-existing condition, patient is fine - but the press didn't get hold of it.
(3) this is why we do clinical trials and why morons like Donald Trump shouldn't rush out vaccines before they are fully tested so he can win a few votes in November.
