GUYS. I’m literally speechless. My grandma sent me (among other things) this film reel for my birthday. According to the slip she included, it’s from a 1928 LOST silent Paramount film called The First Kiss starring Fay Wray and Gary Cooper. Honestly I feel wrong to have this.
Could this be the only existing footage? Could the footage even be viable? I haven’t opened it, and it says “Reel 6”, it’s a 6-reel film so it appears this would be the ending, approx. 11 mins. Either way, I adore Fay Wray so I’m literally shaking!
Tagging folks who I think could maybe help figure out what I have and what to do with it! @vriskin @MoviesSilently @alancinephile @filmradar!
MAJOR UPDATE! 💕 (If there’s any doubt, yes, of course I plan to give them the reel!)
