i don't want to stress people out w discourse & i am a little too... mentally exhausted/broken/done rn to go deep into this, but people in wrestling need to realize that *everyone* in wrestling - including them - has some blind spots that people who aren't in it can see clearly.
It needs to be understood that the inside of the industry is constructed in a way that creates and fosters toxicity. And, no matter what kind of person you are, your perception will always be at least a little distorted by toxicity that you're entirely submerged in.
You know why patterns keep repeating despite the whole Speaking Out movement and promises to be better?

It's because you keep saying you're not the kind of people who would do those things when the problem isn't what kind of person does them, it's the mentality instilled in them
You are focusing on the wrong things. We have concerns, and instead of even considering that we come from seperate perspectives, you assume you know what's got us upset and address that instead of our actual concern. Which shows us that you still do not get it.
Some of my favorite people alive are in this business and I know many of you are genuinely trying your best. I am not saying any of this to demonize or generalize. Please understand.
We're told things will be different and safe and then we get all these things for all these different cases like "we didn't find any evidence," "he's not part of the show he's just in the building," "he's not as bad as x," "he apologized," "this is hurting him too," etc etc etc
When people are hurt. The question to ask. Is not. "What's making us/this person look bad to them?"

It's "What's hurting you?" and "How can we help?"

You need to realize that.
Image does not outweigh trauma.
