I say this with no sarcasm. For the past three years I have been heavily active in the R*sist cult and have finally realized they are #BlueMAGA. As someone newly independent I have no idea where to even begin breaking free of this mindset. Does anyone have suggestions?

My breaking point was when I had a R*sist member tell me I should disown my family, including my mother, because they are MAGA. They further implied I am pro-fascist and fake simply because as someone anti-Trump, I still talk to my pro-Trump family members. #BlueMAGA is a cult!

Was this the first time I was accused of being “fake R*sist?” Absolutely not. #BlueMAGA repeatedly accused me of being a Putinbot for supporting Bernie in BOTH elections, for vetting Biden and his many gaffes, for saying we should believe Tara Reade, for criticizing Pelosi, etc.

When R*sist first started they truly believed in Michelle Obama’s “they go low, we go high.” But as the years went on #BlueMAGA decided to become exactly like those they were trying to eradicate. The vitriol was soul crushing. Now I see no difference in the propaganda they spew.

I believe that like MLK said, hate cannot drive out hate. But becoming the very thing they claim is destructive is only part of it. #BlueMAGA is willing to do literally anything to beat Trump, including vote for a possible rapist. Once upon a time I believed #VoteBlueNoMatterWho

But when #BlueMAGA said things like they would vote for a serial killer as long as it wasn’t Trump I realized R*sist had sold their soul.

Another disturbing incident was when a R*sist member trashed Donald Trump’s dead brother, Robert Trump, simply for being his brother.

These are the things said publicly. There was often behind the scenes coordinated attacks like those against @ProudSocialist. Entire DM rooms are dedicated to coordinating efforts to take out R*sist members deemed problematic or that had stolen a boyfriend. The reasons varied.

Often R*sist members that were best friends would become complete enemies pitting their followers against each other. These acts may involve creating sock accounts often to spy on other members, taking screenshots and editing DMs to use against someone, and brainwashing others.

Many Big Name R*sist members would actually do these attacks simply to bring down a competing R*sister with more followers and that was more successful.

There were also alliances formed like it was Survivor. Often these alliances were exclusive, used a name to identity all, and

were even given specific instructions on what they could or couldn’t tweet. The one I was invited to join had a no swearing rule and I politely said fuck that.

The most popular superhero alliance got so powerful a coordinated attack was done on the entire group to ban them!

Often times entire coordinated attacks would happen because of rumors that one was a grifter, a fake, or even because of a single tweet with a dissenting opinion. Groups as part this attack would hold onto screenshots for months in case they said something offensive again.

The worst part was anyone with a dissenting opinion was deemed a chaos agent or paid Putinbot. #BlueMAGA talks constantly about the conspiracy of QAnon but never tell you how they label anyone with a different opinion from them paid Russian agents. If I had a dollar for everytime

Now sometimes R*sisters would simply tweet public to block this person and sometimes entire #blocklists were created for people to subscribe to. At one point a R*sister was creating an offsite list of "Putinbots" and it was deemed an honor to make this list. I held such an honor.

However things became quite disturbing and ugly when fighting R*sisters would begin to doxx each other. Any dirt that one could find could be used. Employer included. One person was repeatedly harassed because her profile pic wasn't actually her own eye. I wish I was joking!

I also remember a time when negative reviews were left on a person's business page and people were accused to being the guilty party for nearly TWO YEARS. That's the worst part of these #BlueMAGA coordinated attacks. They didn't happen for days or weeks but months or years!

I don't want to sound paranoid or sew doubt in anyone's mind, but I would bet actual money that one of @ProudSocialist's closest comrades is actually feeding back dirt to R*sist. That's how these people work. That's not a conspiracy because I've been the spy before!

I've been asked to use sock accounts, to slide into DMs and screenshot everything, to report back to the person coordinating the attack. And all this was happening two or so years ago when having 30k followers was astounding. Now these people have 300k followers.

If you've read all this you may be asking, what the hell made me stay in R*sist for over 3 years? I didn't always. I often left but like the codependent person that I am I would always come crawling back into #BlueMAGA until something would make me explode again. People noticed.

I would reach a breaking point and go on rants about ALL OF THIS and rage quit. Many of my followers got sick of it and I was labeled as problematic, a chaos agent, a fake, a fraud, a Putinbot, or simply a troublemaking drama queen.

But when I decided to support Bernie Sanders (again) and was very vocal about it was when I finally had enough harassment by and deleted my R*sist account with 20k followers and I finally walked away.

Until I came back under my REAL name. Now that was dumb.

The incident with the #BlueMAGA telling me to disown my family members for being Trump supporters, discovering the @ProudSocialist coordinated attacks. and beef with a fellow R*sist member who tried to get me dogpiled all happened YESTERDAY!

Want to know why this #BlueMAGA member tried to get me dogpiled?

Because I refused to call MAGA "human trash."

No really. That's it! She soft blocked me (then claimed publically she didn't) and then tweeted a screenshot of my tweet claiming I had attacked and namecalled HER!

Let's recap because it's just so hard to believe and I want to be clear: a prominent R*sist member tried to get me cancelled and dogpiled by all her followers because I refuse to call MAGA "human trash." How #BlueMAGA is THAT!?

Probably not as #BlueMAGA as #KamalaHarris accepting VP only a day or after #JoeBiden said the Latino community is diverse, ‘unlike the African American community’

Or after #KamalaHarris said she believes Biden's accusers except for Tara Reade of course!

Of all the options the Democratic party had, they chose Joe Biden. Every day I ask what in God's name are the Democrats thinking? Bernie Sanders was my first choice in #Election2016 so yes I voted for Jill Stein and in #Election2020 Bernie was my first choice again.

That's right. I was a R*sist member with 20k followers who had done the unthinkable...the unacceptable...the gravest of all sins in the R*sistance that I hid for years!

I VOTED FOR JILL STEIN and to be honest I don't regret my vote AT all.

I was an independent who voted Green before experiencing Trump as President and ironically it's not Trump making me come back to being an independent and #Greenparty supporter (maybe the #PeoplesParty, not sure yet) it's #BlueMAGA, R*sist itself driving me back to being Green.

The worst part is #BlueMAGA is so toxic I don't dare admit all this using my main account with my real name. It's not safe. My mental state is not equipped to tolerate the harassment day in and day out from #BlueMAGA. I was never afraid of actual MAGA. I didn't even block them.

But I'm also scared because without the R*sistance, without #BlueMAGA, I don't know HOW to talk about politics! I've never felt so lost, like a complete and utter political misfit. Am I #GreenParty? #PeoplesParty? #Liberal? #Progressive? A #socialist? I DON'T EVEN KNOW!!!

So to come full circle, back to my original tweet, when I say I need deprogrammed from the cult of #BlueMAGA I am absolutely fucking serious. I don't know how to talk about politics from anything but a Biden Democrat POV, something I never even really was.
