Small thread. I realise some may get angry but I cannot and will not apologise for how you feel, this is just me,saying what I think. The UK has slowly been forgetting what it is to be British. Rather than holding onto its traditions and values and morals as tightly.
1)
When I was young, my friends and I were raised with value systems that were both British Values/History/Morals/Law as well as the rules your mum had if you weren't born in the UK. The idea was,if you come it's to live in British society,be part of it.
2)
It doesn't for the most part look that way now. Over time it's become "racist" to say "These are the laws/the rules/the culture you will be a part of" instead we have people defending criminality if the offender wasn't born here.
3)
People start screaming "racist!" The minute you object to something as horrific as FGM. (A Nigerian friend was called far right for calling it disgusting it's in the uk and saying it should be stamped out) .
4)
There are plenty of people who came to make it home and others who just use it as a device,a money making cash grab with no intent on obeying laws, learning the language or accepting the norms.
5)
It's not racist to say "This isn't acceptable here" but also Britain needs to remember its traditions, values culture too and protect it because losing those is causing damage to society,to lives,to people. 5)
6) We now have a country so messed up that some don't feel their own streets are home. It's not enough to remember who you were, you have to protect what you want the country to be and fight for that and keep traditions that are important, alive.
7) And expect that others arriving understand that they will be a part of the country, not us be a part of the country that they just escaped or didn't want to stay in.
