I had never asked the student why she kept her camera off every day until today. Just worked to build trust and be accepting. I would never have guessed, and if I had expressed annoyance, I would have never learned.

Other highlights included one student joining the meet from the car, bc she was helping her aunt run errands, and taking time out during the same class to hear another student's little cousin tell us about her day
