I am leaving to the African continent in the next 5 years. I am tired of overtly dealing with Whiteness and euro-imperialism. I can’t stand having to deal with this living nightmare. at. all. I can deal with it being repackaged into covert neo-colonial violence
Because I know that I can always navigate the spaces with the authority of my class privileges. I just can’t waste my time on this earth rehabilitating white people when i could be eating mangoes and plotting on how to abolish the african bourgeoisie
I prefer fighting neo-colonialism and patriarchal liberalism on the continent first because, strategically as an educated BW, I have a bigger margin of action that anywhere else in the world. We need to think strategically in terms of endurance and not result-based action.
Some of us might not even live to see the revolution implose the world, but we deserve to live joyously with sun, good food, nature and access to our nourishing cultures. We need to focus in on our mental health because we’ve been dragging this out without tending to the wounds.
We need to retreat, it is time. We cannot keep on fighting the same system that continues to grow bigger with the same bodies that have been violated for centuries. We need to regenerate unapologetically cut our energy sources from these cannibals and plot, plan and empower.
Rest is political. The success of Liberation struggles are measured by their capacity to sustain the test of time and the capacity to adapt. Capitalism needs us to believe in urgency to continue to force people into fear-based consciousness. Our ancestors live through us
We never die. We only commit to resolving our responsibilities through vessels that are willing. This is what I want to focus on, preservation as a form of the radical reclaiming of the body. No more overworking, no more investing into capitalism, no more. Divestment as praxis.
