Appreciate my feed & news is pretty US-centric but astonishing to me that the UK openly stating in parliament they intend to renege on a binding intl obligation they signed just months ago and their chief legal official resigning over it has truly nearly zero coverage
The UK unilaterally abandoning its intl obligations is kind of a big deal for its credibility, but nope, news is today is just example 13,865,864 of "Trump did another poop on the oval office desk and DOJ says "actually it's part of his job to do that""
Can't possibly imagine how the core countries in the West just unilaterally giving up on having a rules-based international order might go horribly wrong with other countries starting to flex their economic and military force 🙄
