Just as a PSA: no one — literally no one — who believes in the efficacy of increased societal resilience in response to disinformation thinks we should sit back and allow bad actors to get away scot free. Yes, we must impose costs. But we need to do that while we look inward, too
The reason I so passionately and loudly advocate for resilience-building is because it is a generational effort and we have lost precious time debating whether foreign interference is actually A Thing.
Building our resilience narrows the attack surface so that adversaries like Russia, China or whoever comes for us next have less to work with. It’s not a magic wand. But it *has to be* part of the solution.
