I had put together this presentation for spring training this year and never got the chance to present it. Wanted to give an insight into my year coaching in the ABL, a little about the league, what went into our team and pitching staff, and the lessons learned a long the way.
Some notable players to play in the league and how the schedule is set up.
Map showing where the teams are located. Some tough travel for the Perth Heat. More on that later..
How our roster was constructed and coaching staff. Created a really different environment from a typical minor league team/coaching staff
Be great at what you’re good at... identify what players were good at, do that as often as possible to put it simply. Arrived 21 days before season started.
Implementation of player plans, identifying what you’re good at is great, making sure implement and follow the plans throughout the week are key.
Huge thanks to @NoahCronbaugh and @Maicon_steinle they absolutely crushed it and really helped our pitching staff
All this prep and planning led to leading the league in almost every pitching category.
One of the scariest moments of my life.. not a big fan of flying to start with.
