THREAD regarding the MANILA BAY Project and where the opposition got it wrong.

#DDSThreads

I want to take this opportunity to thank DENR Secretary Roy Cimatu for his hardwork and contributions for our nation.

Despite DENR being bashed for days just because of some malignant nuances, the DENR has done a lot.

The opposition asked, "Why is DENR doing this? They should be contributing to COVID instead!"

2/n
Excuse us but:
1. Cimatu was assigned to then COVID-problematic Cebu. He was able to help them drop the # of COVID cases
2. Now he is helping Bacolod and Ilo-Ilo w/ COVID.
3. DENR slashed a chunk of their budget approx. Php 1.1 billion to funnel the funds to COVID fight.

3/n
So, how about the opposition? What have they done? A few donations here and there? Saying NO to the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act? Parading themselves during Senate hearings? Trying to get a piece of PhilHealth? Tell me. They only know how to complain.

Ridon said the project costs about 790k per meter.

Let me ask the Engineers here. Is this how we price our projects? per meter? or do we do per square meter? If we follow per square meter, the project would only cost 12k-13k per sqm. (60 meters from shore to sea approx)

On the issue of HEALTH:
It's true that DOLOMITE DUST will give you those effects of eye irritation. But this beach will have sand, not dust. On the issue of respiratory and gastrointestinal problems, guys, logic, even baby powder will give you the same effects if ingested.

And by the way, Cimatu is the same guy who is responsible for the Boracay rehabilitation, the same beach that the pa-wokes have been enjoying for years.

You, pa-wokes, should thank him for that.

END.
I actually can't believe that frickin' Terry Ridon did such lie. That was outright misleading! And shame to the mainstream media for not picking up the real truth! That's not rocket science guys!
I guess it's their Leni math syndrome.

Again, there is NO SUCH OVERPRICING. PERIOD.
