"Perfidious Albion is a term used by some people to describe the British Empire. It is a term that suggests that the British were deceitful and treacherous in their dealings as an Empire."
Pick the subtle narrative apart . " used by SOME people ", "to describe the British Empire ", "suggests the ..." "as an Empire "
In the REAL world, it is a WIDELY used term to describe the CURRENT English polity in the REAL world TODAY post empire.
As a wordy man I know the difference between "some people (we may ignore , fringe elements) may suggest ( only a suggestion by people to be ignored ) , may (not do ) have a critique.
This IS what britkids are taught. It is propaganda not education.
Correct education is.
" England gained a reputation for being perfidious and duplicitous in the empire days and others names us accordingly as a nation in our empire days.
These names came for reasons we must discuss"
