Critical Race Theory is an absolutist ideology. It is racist to its core. It weaponizes grievance narratives to seize power and wealth. It preaches the dismantling and the destruction of the United States.
It is urgent that leaders start to scrutinize this orthodoxy and its priests and stand up to their bullying. People confuse it with critical thinking. Critical thinking is a cornerstone of liberalism.
It is an attitude within the broad tradition of liberalism to engage in civic discussion. For instance, critical thinkers acknowledge America's past racial and economic injustices. They seek to repair these within the structures, institutions, history, and narrative of America.
Critical Race Theory is not interested in finding solutions within the existing national institutions. They say they want to dismantle it. Here, see for yourself.
We are all aware of the fact that there is no love lost between the Democratic leadership and President Trump. But on this one, there should be bipartisan consensus.
The Democrats should not allow themselves to be seen as the party that is defending Critical Race Theory, in all of its manifestations.
