The instructor for the Wildlife Habitat Management course I TA asked the students to write a paragraph about the indigenous management practices in the area they were assigned. 1/X
It seemed like a pretty straightforward task. After about 2 hours many students couldn’t find anything or managed one sentence. Many others voiced their frustrations. The professor would simply respond “keep looking”. 2/X
Moving into hour 3 and most students are just about calling it quits. The instructor responded “Pretty messed up that we managed to wipe out an entire civilization and their practices, right? Turn in what you have.” 3/X
Shout out to this instructor for showing no mercy and having students dedicate 3 hours of their day to realize the atrocities that have happened not far from our university #ScholarStrike
