CW transphobia

cis and trans people will only be equal when characters in comedies make fun of their friend for "fucking a cissie"

Also that needs to happen in at least 20 movies because "fucked a tranny" jokes dehumanized us and taught young men how to talk about trans women.
Hangover 2 was a nightmare for a myriad of reasons but the #1 reason bar-none was that it introduced "eww you got fucked by a tranny" jokes into my straight cis friends lexicon and I had to hear that shit.

Todd Phillips/Zack Gallifianakis/Bradley Cooper/Ed Helms owe me money.
Clearly from the way my "friends" talked about it, they wanted to do it. They jerked off to trans porn and their little virgin asses found a way to talk about their fetishes in a jokey way like "How much would someone have to pay you to fuck a ladyboy?"
This verges off topic to other territory (young trans women being forced to go through male puberty and be witness to boys bullshit while being unable to say anything)

But trans women in media have never been allowed to be more than a punchline, a sex object, or (usually) both.
I'm getting more angry about it as I write a film script featuring a trans lead because I want to look to other films for inspiration.

How can I learn from trans film narratives 10, 20, 30 years ago? I can't. We have no filmed history, just shitty jokes in Adam Sandler comedies.
It's weird to think that I'm more knowledgeable about the trans experience than most people that have written/directed/starred in trans stories on film.

Why do I have to juggle decades of queer baggage to tell this story? Because I want to get it right for once.
