A thread regarding an interesting discrepancy in daily COVID-19 reporting:

Last week, @GovAndyBeshear reported eight new COVID-19 related deaths in Lincoln County.

I asked the county coroner about them and his office had no records of any recent deaths.

I then reached out to Lincoln County Health Department Director Diane Miller who told me that the eight deaths the state reported are real, but not recent.

The deaths Beshear reported last week date back as far as early June.

The most recent was sometime in August.

Miller told me all eight deaths are related to Lincoln Co.’s long-term care facility, Stanford Care & Rehab.

She also mentioned that the facility has reported a total of 18 deaths.

But @GovAndyBeshear’s office is only reporting 10 total deaths in Lincoln County.
