Anti fujoshi discourse has always been about who can and cannot enjoy what content, shaming sex, and actively destroying MLM content, not seeking to improve it.
The fact that the discourse around BL is never about how to improve the medium (outside of removing all sex it seems) or uplifting MLM made works kinda shows that the goal is not to advance MLM rep, but to destroy what little there is
