My prediction that there’d be nothing in the IMB for Brexiteers (despite months of No 10 promises that there would be heaps of v specific goodies) is looking pretty red hot. Instead there’s a raft of secondary powers, all the better to stitch Brexiteers up with at the 11th hour.

Playing low information rubes like Foster like fiddles - ‘the NIP! they *might* [AS THEY ALWAYS COULD] change that! the horror! the horror!’ - is all well and good, but really, Brexiteers shouldn’t be distracted by such empty noise from the deafening lack of delivery in the IMB.

‘International law’ is an absurd irrelevance: what matters is domestic law. There is nothing in the IMB that shackles the Govt into delivering the sort of Brexit Brexiteers want. Quite the reverse: it facilitates exactly the fold (on everything else) that led to the NIP last year

This is EXACTLY what I’d do if I were the Govt: I’d lock everyone up to stop them from talking about what’s not in the IMB. Especially the under 40s, smoking their soft drugs in their cappuccino bars.
