Huge co-ordinated push on Twitter & FB from the pro-virus lobby pretending that underlying condition data reported on every day is a secret. But what are those conditions that you are being told make 1677 deaths inconsequential? About 40% of population has one of those listed
Conditions are chronic heart disease, chronic neurological disease, chronic respiratory disease, chronic kidney disease, chronic liver disease, hypertension, asthma requiring medication, immunodeficiency, diabetes mellitus, BMI ≥ 40, cancer/malignancy, pregnancy etc
None of this is new or a secret, the underlying conditions % has been on every daily report back to March and is constantly mentioned by reference to vulnerable people etc. Every weeks a more detailed report has been published eg https://www.hpsc.ie/a-z/respiratory/coronavirus/novelcoronavirus/surveillance/underlyingconditionsreports/Underlying%20conditions%20summary_31082020.pdf
Here are the numbers of people in Ireland that have some of the more common underlying conditions - these are the people whose deaths we are being told shouldn't really count. There are millions of them. https://tilda.tcd.ie/publications/reports/pdf/Report_Covid19Multimorbidity.pdf

Many of these conditions develop or are discovered as people age. When you look at the population over 50 some of these underlying conditions affect more than 50% of people and 30% of those over 70 have 3 or more. Would these deaths really not matter?
Of those known to have been infected to date 48.5% has an underlying condition. Again this data isn't secret, its from the publicly accessible report that goes online every single week on the HSPC site that adds detail to the daily summary https://www.hpsc.ie/a-z/respiratory/coronavirus/novelcoronavirus/surveillance/underlyingconditionsreports/Underlying%20conditions%20summary_31082020.pdf
Again for the over 50 population some of these underlying conditions are things a MAJORITY have. In some counties it's a large majority, eg 75% of over 50s in Carlow have cardiovascular disease.
So when someone tries to convince you that #Covid19 deaths somehow don't count if the person had an underlying conditions here is just how many people over the age of 50 in Ireland that they are telling you don't really matter

The report I've drawn most of this data from looked at underlying conditions in the section of the population over 50. I've not yet found similar data for those under 50 but with at least some of these conditions its still significant numbers of people at risk
Here is an example of the pro-virus misinformation, in this case coming from an account with almost 5,000 followers that seems to think 1667 deaths don't really count because the people had one or more of the conditions listed in this thread
Department of Heath has said today "It is important to note that a third of people in Ireland (32%) have a long-standing health condition. This is a significant part of our society. Every single person with an underlying medical condition is important. Their lives matter."
