Here's the new book I'm working on:

I mentioned last week that my next book will be covering the Ravens offense, but I've also been putting together an outline for a completely different type of book as well to be released sometime late this year/early next year.
The more people I talk to, the more I realize that there are tons of people out there who would love to get their foot in the door, either at the college or HS level, but don't really have any idea of how to contribute meaningfully to a coaching staff.
This could be a former player who wants to help out but never really coached or studied the game before.

It could also be someone who's a total novice to the game, but who has the time and is willing to learn and contribute in any way they can.
What I want to do is put together a resource that will give anyone the ability to walk in on day one, without any experience, and have the ability to contribute to the team, as long as they're willing to work.
This is the outline I've put together on what the book will look like.

Each section deals with a group of easily learnable skills, and each of them are things that almost every team needs help with in one way or another.
Essentially, I want to give someone a road map for their first 1-2 years as a coach, even if they've never drawn up a play before, and give them the ability to add value to a program on day one.

It will be written in a way that anyone can understand it, starting from square one.
I expect the book to be finished late this year or early next year.

I don't expect this book will have a huge demand, but there is a small section of people who I know need a resource like this.

If you have thoughts or suggestions I would love to hear them.
If you come in willing to work and learn, if you can take care of basic film breakdown duties, if you can film a football game properly, and if you can show up on time, you will be able to instantly add value to a team and coaching staff, even if you have no experience.
