"Cleantech" tycoon Tom Dinwoodie signed @joshfoxfilm's letter demanding POTH be retracted. Dinwoodie owns scores of solar patents, reaped $1.2 billion in govt subsidies under Obama & sponsors a think tank partnered w/big banks. He also co-produced Fox's latest performance.
Here's climate guru @billmckibben w/ ex-Goldman Sachs exec David Blood at a Wall Street-sponsored conference.

Blood and Al Gore co-founded the Generation IM investment fund to reap profits from renewable energy.

"We are making the case for long-term greed," Blood said.
As part of its fossil fuel divestment campaign, McKibben's @350 advises members to place their money in "socially responsible" funds like @green_century.

But Green Century maintains stocks in mining, plastics, biomass, McDonald's, and other mega-polluters. It's a shell game.
Days after @joshfoxfilm's attack on Planet of the Humans in @thenation – branding @MMFlint a "racist" – the Nation hosted an even with McKibben sponsored by @dominifunds, an investment fund with significant holdings in biomass & timber – energy sources McKibben claims to oppose.
The Rockefeller Brothers Fund incubated @350 in top-down, non-profit industrial complex fashion.

When @RockBrosFund divested from fossil fuels, it kept assets in Halliburton, heavy mining, the Koch-run Inter Pipeline, and big banks.

And http://350.org  cheered.
As I noted in my piece, Bill McKibben urged environmentalists to embrace the Pentagon, the worst exporter of violence on Earth, as an ally in the fight against climate change.

This is the kind of "green" leadership the billionaire class & non-profit industrial complex creates.
Google CEO Eric Schmidt is a major funder of "climate justice" orgs like @350.

And he sits on the Pentagon Innovation Board, as @NaomiAKlein pointed out.

But Schmidt's foundation has supported Klein, a http://350.org  board member who condemned Planet of the Humans.
The Solutions Project, a Big Green public relations operation pushing for renewable energy, is sponsored by Google's Schmidt, eBay billionaire Jeffrey Skoll, and Tesla's Elon Musk.

It describes Musk, who recently celebrated Bolivia's "lithium coup," as a modern day super-hero.
Planet of the Humans co-producer @OzzieZehner told me, "The conversation our critics didn’t want to have was about the last 1/3 of the film which dealt with the influence of billionaires and money in the environmental movement, and the divestment sham.”
