The most important part of selling anything online is GETTING TRAFFIC TO YOUR WEBSITE

Let’s talk about some of my favorite ways to drive traffic, some of which you’ve probably never considered

A thread:

FACEBOOK

• paid ads/boosted posts
• influencers, affiliates, collabs
• paying FB group admins to promote + post about your products/website
• giveaways— offer the chance to win something free in exchange for sharing the post (always link your website)

INSTAGRAM

• stories
• paid ads (through FB)
• boosted posts
• deals with influencers, affiliates
• pay appropriate IG page owners to post about your products/website
• giveaways
• use FOMO, limited time releases etc

EMAIL/SMS LIST

[hint: Google creative ways to grow your subscriber list]
• include clickable links + photos for higher conversions
• make sure you are adding value + not just just trying to get a sale (emails)
• flash deals/limited time offers work beautifully w/ SMS

AFFILIATES

• check out LeadDyno— you pay a % to affiliates who share your link(s) and get sales. They only make $ if you do
• I love working with affiliate bloggers who incorporate Pinterest into their strategy
• more affiliates = your customers will “see you everywhere”

TUMBLR

• tumblr influencers are still a thing and their rates are FAR lower than what Instagram influencers are charging

YOUTUBE

• many YouTubers accept mail to open on film (usually all together once a month)— send a really impressive package + include a note w/ link

BLOGGING

• create helpful + valuable posts (incorporate strong keywords) on your own blog
• guest-post on others’ blogs
• submit articles to publications (always including your link)
• collab with Medium/other bloggers (pay them to write about your product)

REDDIT/QUORA/YAHOO ANSWERS

• add value by answering questions related to your niche and link your product/website where appropriate— bonus points if you position yourself as recommending a product you truly love and use, not a product you’re selling (use VAs for this)

Traffic won’t suddenly appear just because you’ve created a website. That’s the easy part.

You have to hustle for the traffic and optimize for conversions

Get the word out, make an offer, & make sure you’re targeting the right people
