I'm building a presentation about air pollution... and I found this graph uplifting! It shows the progress Baltimore has made over the past 20 years in reducing harmful pollution, thanks to many different clean air initiatives. (1/4) @wbaltv11
2020 has been the cleanest year in decades in Baltimore, likely due to less commuting and traveling. (Certainly, this has been terrible for the economy, but hopefully it's a reminder that greener transportation is critical to cleaner air) (2/4)
This graph tells me that many small changes can make a big difference. And the first step is getting people to care about cleaner air! (3/4)
You should especially care about cleaner air if you have a heart or lung condition which can be aggravated by air pollution. You can track Baltimore's Air Quality forecast here: https://www.cleanairpartners.net/current-and-forecasted-air-quality @CleanAirPartner
