4 years of Trump tells Dem voters that our problems are a result of Trump and the far right, instead of a product of capitalism. A Neolib presidency will help socialists because it shows that the problems are with capitalism, not just the right.

We can observe this in the election too. After Obama, Sanders, an actual leftist, can out of no where, did super well, and almost got the Democrat nomination because Dem voters started realizing what the actual issue was.

Bernie did worse in the 2020 election because it went back to an issue of Dems vs Republicans, and not an issue of capitalism vs the people. You can’t say that the only issue was Democrat’s sabotaging him, because that happened in both elections, but he did better in 2016.

If we want to get our way there are a few things we need to do. The first being understanding that a Biden presidency will help socialist numbers grow significantly because of disillusioned democrats.

The second is that we need to absolutely reject people like Trump to show that we are the ones in control, not them. It is important to recognize that fascist Trump will do, and has done, so much damage to leftism and democracy, more than Biden can.

The third thing is to recognize that Biden policies, while not great, will help disadvanteged people and families more than Trump does. Expanding ACA will help people get healthcare. Raising minimum wage will obviously help workers. And his climate policies are better than none

The fourth thing is that if Biden loses, the message sent to democrats won’t be “we need to go left to get lefties to vote for us.” It will be “we need to go further right in order to beat a Republican,” and then we’re right back at square one.

If Trump wins it’s entirely possible there wouldn’t even be a 2024 election at all. He’s already trying to delay this one and he has talked about getting a third term before.

But if there is another election, and Trump wins this one, the candidates will be so far right that our most progressive candidate will be Pete Buttigieg and Bloomberg will look like a moderate democrat.

Voting Biden is a means to an end. He will be our tool to show democrat voters that capitalism sucks ass, and that people like AOC or Sanders are cool. Then we can get a real leftist President.
