A Thread On Siddhis : Yogic Perspective

** these are special powers obtained in the process of Rajyoga**

Samadhi} => Quick revision of Astanga yoga

///List of Siddhis obtained by just following 5 Yamas and 5 Niyamas///

1) SATYA:if someone masters satya in his sadhna then all words of that fellow become true.

" If youhave been saying what has been happen,it will happen what you will say"

This is how Boon and Curse Works.

2) AHIMSA:
If someone masters ahimsa then there will be no hatredness with that person.

Natural Enemy will also Disappear.

This is how Yogi live even with Tiger / Lion.

3) ASTEYA : After mastery of Asteya -all Ratna will come at the feet of yogi
All wealthiest .

4) BRAMHACHARYA : After it's mastery ,All strength will retain forever
No energy and power loss.

5) APARIGRAH : You will get glimpse of your past life after mastery over it.

1) SAUCH (शौच) : Absolute Purity ,we get rid of bodily idea,Organs and mind becomes cheerful.
2) SANTOSH : Superlative happiness comes.
3) Tapa ( mortification) : All impurities distroyed,powers comes in organs of body .
4) SWADHYAYA: Realisation--of Ista-Deity.

5)ISHWAR-PRANIDHANAT -
Samadhi comes by mastering this.
** Only comes not become perfect**

Now to Understand furthermore about Siddhi; it is important to know what is " SAMYAMA"( संयम)

** It is specific terminology ***

Samyama=[ Dharana + Dhyana+ Samadhi]

For example ,if you apply samyam on any object X then it mean; first think ,and remove all other things from mind only object then concentrate on it ,Meditate,once samadhi established you can say that

" Samyama is applied on object X"

in yogic terminology.

1.Samyama on any object

==> you will get to know all knowledge of Past, Future and Present

2)Samyama on { artha ,pratyaya ,shabda} you will understand language / frequency of all creatures
Example - artha is "Ball " ( notation)
- shabda is language -ball
- pratyaya is knowledge about ball

3)Samyama on Pratyaya => You will get to know what happened in one's mind

4)Samyama on Kaya ( body) => All powers of light being stop and you
( This shows that light theory was known in patanjali era- as he mentioned by stopping light you become invisible)
You become invisible

5)Samyama on friendship => various strength comes

6)Samyama on Elephant => strength of Elephant comes

7)Samyama on effulgent light =>eligible to see Atom ,cell , subtle (sukshma)
Able to see very far ,even obstructed object

8)Samyama on Sun => knowledge of bhuvaloka ( world)

9)Samyama on Moon => knowledge about cluster of star comes

10)Samyama on Dhruva( pole ) => knowledge about motion of stars ,you can measure all positions of

11)Samyama on Nabhi (नाभि)=> Knowledge about Anatomy , physiology of body

12)Samyama on Kantha ( कंठ)=>Knowledge about hunger ,thirst etc

13)Samyama on Nadi ( kurma nadi )=> Stability of body

14)Samyama on 'light of Murdha' ( मूर्धज्योति)=> You can able to see all siddhas

15)Samyama on Heart => All knowledge of Mind

16)Samyama on Senses( bhoga) => knowledge of hearing, touching, seeing, tasting and smelling belong to pratibha ( intuition)

17)Samyama on Udana prana=>Yogi don't sink in water ,can sit and walk on thorn

18)Samyama on Samana prana => can generate inner blaze-

19)Samyama on and Akash(space) element simultaneously=> You are eligible to hear Akashwani, divine hearing , or you can say that able to catch cosmic signals

20)Samyama on Body and Akash( space) simultaneously=> Yogi become as light as cotton Wool , goes through sky

21)Samyama on Notification of objects and inner light simultaneously => you can make anyone disappear

22)Samyama on Gross material=> comes mastery of elements

23)Samyama on Body Qualities with mortification of mind =>comes 8 popular Siddhis - Laghima,Garima,Anima..etc + beauty , complexion, adamantine hardness

24)Samyama on Objectivity=> Conquest on organ ( vashikaran)

25)Samyama on Sattva elements => comes Omnipotent and Omniscience

All SIDDHIs are Obstacles in path of final goal !!!

Siddhis are not goal of yogi it is by product

By Giving up these Siddhis ,one attains kaivalya !!
