Matt Doherty transfer to Spurs is perhaps the most Jorge Mendes influenced signing I can think of. He’s an advisor to Wolves owners, who also have a stake in his business; he’s agent to Wolves coach Nuno; to Spurs coach Mourinho; he’s also Doherty’s agent. Clean sweep?
Not surprised to see reports that Wolves are lining up Doherty’s replacement from Valencia.

€40m to Porto for a teenager with fewer than a dozen games under his belt. Totally normal.

Wolves appear to have struck a deal with feeder club FC Porto to sign 20-year-old midfielder Vitinha on loan with an option to buy for €20m. He’s played 15 league games.

So, FC Porto have told the Portuguese stock exchange that 25 percent of the €40m transfer fee it received for Fábio Silva from Wolves, €10m, will be paid out in agent fees, including €7m to Jorge Mendes’s agency Gestifute

Have asked Porto for a comment on paying a 25 percent commission (€10m) to agents on this one deal. . And they have replied: “FC Porto has nothing more to add to the information provided to the CMVM (Portuguese Securities Market Commission).”
Plot thickens, the company that got the other €3m of agents fees from Porto is said to be controlled by the player’s dad.
