Now that @AFCLeopards third kit was pre-unveiled on these streets by @Kevin_teya a short thread on third kits at the club

*may do another on away kits and one on home kits once in circulation
Traditionally the colours of the leopard (the animal 🐆 not the supporter 😆) are cream-yellow with black spots.
So someone thought... circa 1983, why not have a kit of those colours
And so was born the third kit that combined the cream yellow colours with black shorts to represent the spots
Once in a while the club would go for a white shirt third kit (as opposed to the blue and white hoops home kit)
But the enduring images of the 'leopard' shirt proved to be irresistible to the club. Here is Mickey Weche in the Umbro third kit circa 1989 😇
The club actually wore the kit in one of the continental matches (this pic isn't from that match)
When Mumias Sugar was shirt sponsor, the club alternated between the all white third kit...
... and the leopard third kit that was brought back after a long spell of disorganized kitting before the sponsor came on board
With Sportpesa on board, the club had the all white kit as third kit
Then Umbro signed the deal to kit the club and an attempt was made to go back to the leopard kit though the sleeves weren't exactly black

Let me see if I can get an on-the-field one...
You can see that rather than just the subtle colours, there was a graphic of the leopard... something that I saw once with the Indomitable Lions shirt that had a lion
So this time the club has gone back to the original inspiration with black shorts (I presume) and a graphic leopard.
Something different from the all white...

There was a clearer copy of the 1983 jersey from the cover of a magazine
@AFCLeopards also won the Arusha International Invitation Cup in 1989 and posed with the third kit in the @CrownPaintsPLC jersey
I also got mock up designs that were submitted when Sportpesa was the official sponsor. One of them looks too close to the @tusker_fc jersey though
