The Book of Esther, also known in Hebrew as "the Scroll" (Megillah), is a book in the third section (Ketuvim, "Writings") of the Jewish Tanakh (the Hebrew Bible) and in the Christian Old Testament. https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1299685474186006528
In the Old Testament The Book of Esther is 17th in order. Esther - is the fifth of the five [5:5] Megillot or Scrolls (See also Song of Songs, Ruth, Lamentations, and Ecclesiastes) that are read throughout the year during the Festivals of the Lord.
The Book of Esther describes the Jewish heroine Esther, who saved the Jewish people in Persia from annihilation during the reign of King Xerxes I (Ahasuerus) of Persia, who ruled from 486 to 465 BC.
The Book of Esther described part of the Jewish Diaspora that stayed behind in Persia and did not return to Jerusalem during the Restoration. The Book is the source of Purim or the Festival of Lots.
